Technical Business Systems Analyst

New Yesterday

Overview

Be part of something big. We look at what is wrong with food to figure out how to make it the best it can be, without being bound by the way it has always been done. Finnebrogue is a leading food producer recognised with awards for our People Strategy and inclusive culture. With four sites in Downpatrick, our business has grown rapidly, turnover increasing from £50M to £200M in the past 6 years. Join Finnebrogue, where innovation meets excellence, and every team member is valued and empowered to grow.

Job Purpose

This role exists to bridge the gap between business needs and smart system solutions. As a Technical Business Systems Analyst, you’ll be responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of improvements to our core business systems—enhancing performance, streamlining operations, and driving competitive advantage. Your work will go beyond maintaining existing tools; you’ll identify opportunities to improve business processes and unlock greater value from the systems we already have in place.

Working across all Finnebrogue sites, you’ll deliver solutions that support the entire operation—from factory floor to leadership team—by optimising productivity, enhancing system capabilities, and supporting long-term strategic growth. This role is central to how we evolve as a business, ensuring our systems aren’t just functional, but future-ready.

What it takes

We’re looking for a Technical Business Systems Analyst who’s equal parts problem solver, communicator, and strategist—someone who can dive deep into business processes, uncover opportunities for improvement, and translate them into smart, scalable system solutions. You’ll help evolve and enhance our business systems across all Finnebrogue sites, unlocking productivity, improving performance, and driving real competitive advantage. Whether it’s refining core ERP and MES systems or shaping entirely new solutions, your work will have a measurable impact across the business.

The ideal candidate is self-starting, resourceful, and comfortable wearing many hats—from systems analysis and development to user support, training, and change management. You’ll be hands-on with everything from process design to stakeholder negotiation, always focused on how things can be done better. You’ll know how to listen, translate complex requirements into clear actions, and collaborate with teams to deliver solutions that work in the real world. You don’t just react to problems—you proactively identify smarter ways of doing things and aren’t afraid to push for change where it’s needed. If you love improving systems, making processes more efficient, and turning tech into tangible business results, this is your kind of role.
