Technical Consultant

Role Overview:

• Location: Hybrid – 4 days/week on-site in London or Gloucester

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing and delivering automation workflows tailored to client needs
• Advising clients on integrating automation with third-party platforms and services
• Mapping and modelling business processes to solve complex technical challenges
• Scripting and developing solutions using a mix of (e.g. Python, PowerShell)
• Working hands-on with tools like Ansible, Puppet or Chef
• Supporting projects across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and external vendors
• Contributing to service improvements and staying sharp through ongoing certifications

Main Skills Needed:

• Previous experience in a technical consultancy or IT operations role
• Knowledge of automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Solid scripting skills (JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
• Familiarity with orchestration using YAML and REST APIs
• Experience with cloud platforms and Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Strong analytical thinking and workflow design ability
• ITIL Foundation certification (V3 or V4) is a plus
• Must be eligible for high-level Security Clearance (or currently hold it)
