Technical Consultant

Based on the DCP Customer site, this role is key to the delivery of the DCP/Dorset contract. The role holder(s) provide a technical skillset to deliver ICT projects, ranging from small application changes to large, highly complex projects, programs, or portfolios. The team ensures technical requirements are delivered to estimated time and cost, delivering approximately 2500 days of effort within a financial year across 400 projects.
The role of Technical Consultant involves technical review of customer requirements, estimating technical resources for projects, performing to required job standards, and delivery in accordance with agreed goals within an SLA-driven environment.
Please note: Candidates applying will be required to undergo and be eligible for NPPV3.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide Technical Consultancy services for the Devonshire and Cornwall Police Contract, ensuring customer needs are met as per contractual requirements, delivering technical skills for Resource Services tower activities across projects and small changes.
- Plan, test, and document new and existing functionality to defined specifications/requirements, meeting agreed estimates.
- Estimate, analyze, design, document, develop, test, and debug new/changes to services, adhering to agreed SLAs/KPIs.
- Deliver an effective and innovative service that is ISO20000 compliant, meeting BT’s contractual obligations and customer needs.
- Identify and progress new business opportunities, service enhancements, and development opportunities across Technical Consultancy Services.

- Expert Windows infrastructure and internet technology skills to deliver the role.
- Experience designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure solutions, including on-prem and cloud-based environments.
