Base pay range

ECS Resource Group are currently working in partnership with a global managed service provider, assisting them with searching for a Technical Delivery Manager on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be working with a telecoms end client across various projects.

This is a contract that is outside IR35 and we are looking for someone based in the West Midlands.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver complex IT, data, and telecommunications projects (LAN, WAN, Cloud, and Fibre networks) across full project lifecycle, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Manage project governance, including risk, issue, and change control processes, and provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders and steering boards.
  • Build, lead, and mentor cross-functional delivery teams while coordinating with internal departments, external suppliers, and clients to meet project objectives.
  • Oversee financial and resource management, ensuring profitability and efficiency across multiple programmes.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance delivery maturity, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.

Key Skills

  • Proven expertise in full project/programme lifecycle management using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills at board, customer, and partner levels.
  • Technical proficiency across networking (DWDM, LAN/WAN, FTTP/FTTH, Cloud solutions, Unified Communications).
  • Skilled in risk/issue management, governance, financial control, and vendor/supplier management.
  • Leadership in managing multi-skilled teams, fostering accountability, mentoring, and ensuring delivery excellence.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience delivering IT, data, and telecoms projects across LAN, WAN, Cloud, and Fibre networks.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong governance, financial control, and vendor management experience.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and communicate with senior stakeholders.
