About MS3 Networks
MS3 Networks is a dynamic fibre network operator based in Kingston-Upon-Hull, backed by significant investment and with a mission to be the best regional fibre provider. With ambitious plans to connect as many homes and businesses with full fibre, we're a wholesale-only provider enabling ISPs to deliver up to 10Gb connections. As we transition from network build to commercialisation of our network, we're entering an exciting transformative phase-and we're looking for a visionary Technical Director to lead the charge.
The Opportunity
This is a pivotal senior leadership role at the heart of MS3's future. AsTechnical Director, you'll shape and execute our technology strategy, lead a high-performing technical team, and drive innovation across systems, networks, and information security. You'll be the bridge between technical excellence and commercial success - reporting directly to the CEO and engaging with board
and private equity partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver a compelling technology vision aligned with MS3's strategic goals.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing technical department, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Oversee the development and execution of technical roadmaps to support scalable growth
- Act as a key liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure cohesive strategy and execution
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including board-level reporting and private equity engagement
- Drive automation and efficiency projects to enhance customer experience
- Ensure network resilience, security, and compliance with GDPR and ISO standards

What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership in a Technical Director or senior technology role
- Strong background in ISP or AltNet environments, with expertise in systems, networks, and infosec
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value
- Confident communicator and influencer, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Experience managing CapEx and OpEx budgets and delivering KPIs to private equity partners
- Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and building future-proof tech ecosystems
Desirable Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Management
- Master's degree or MBA in IT Management
