Are you ready to engineer excellence? Balfour Beatty is on the lookout for a passionate Technical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Painter Brothers, our premier steel manufacturing facility based in Hereford.

As a Technical Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of cutting-edge projects, working with high-grade materials and pioneering processes that power infrastructure across the UK and beyond.

What you\'ll be doing

  • Prepare and process production documentation and data and issue to fabrication and despatch departments.
  • Receive, process and provide all technical data from / to customers and other stakeholders.
  • Identification of requirements for bought out parts / services and issuing of requisite purchase orders.
  • Resolve technical issues, where required in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Reporting and expedite progress against key programme deliverables.
  • Produce CNC Data where required.
  • Review, amend and create new production drawings as required.
  • Liaise with the all internal and external stakeholders involving technical matters.

Who we\'re looking for

  • Previous experience/ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and data.
  • Experience in manufacturing practices and processes.
  • Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions with minimal support from management.
  • Experience of working collaboratively within a dynamic team environment and meeting key deadlines.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient user of computer systems (Microsoft Office). Experience of MRP Systems and CAD systems would be advantageous.
  • Experience in programming CNC machines – desirable.
  • A strong pro-active and ‘can-do’ attitude with desire to continually learn and improve.
