It performs calculations like realized and unrealized P&L, coupon accruals, and handles various accounting events. GTPL supports hedge accounting, manages intercompany debt, processes syndicate product accounting, and generates daily journal entries for cash securities posted to the firm’s General Ledgers and reported to other Citi applications.We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Ab Initio Engineer to lead enterprise-scale data integration and transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep Ab Initio expertise to oversee and optimize the existing ETL ecosystem, while architecting and executing a strategic migration to modern, open-source, cloud-based technologies. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical skills, enterprise architecture vision, and leadership to ensure smooth operations, cost optimization, and long-term technology sustainability.What You’ll DoBe hands-on with coding and software design to ensure adherence to high quality standards and best practices of complex Ab Initio graphs, plans, and parallel ETL workflowsEnsure compliance with enterprise data governance, metadata standards, and regulatory requirementsLead and mentor development teams in both Ab Initio and modern data engineering technologiesProvide expertise in area of advanced knowledge of applications programming and plan assignments involving large budgets, cross functional project, or multiple projectsChampion automation, CI/CD integration, and infrastructure-as-code for data pipelinesConsult with end users to identify system function specifications and incorporate into overall system designAllocate work, and act as an advisor/coach developers, analysts, and new team membersInfluence and negotiate with senior leaders and communicate with external partiesWhat We’ll Need From YouRelevant experience designing and developing in Ab Initio (GDE, Co>Op, Plans, DML, XFR, partitioning, continuous flows, testing framework, Graph Unit Tests)Proven expertise in Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop/HDFS, Hive/Impala, and distributed processingKnowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)End-to-end experience in planning and executing large-scale modernization or platform migrationsDemonstrated experience in leading multi-disciplinary data engineering teamsExcellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive presentation skillsStrategic thinker with ability to balance short-term delivery and long-term modernization goalFamiliarity with DevOps, CI/CD for data pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-CodeWhat We Can Offer YouWe work hard to have a positive financial and social impact on the communities we serve.
