Job Description

Role can be Remote or Hybrid Office Based, subject to location.

Scope of the role:

The technical pre-sales function within NEC works closely with application product owners and the hosting design team to ensure propositions meet client requirements and are achievable for NEC's delivery teams. The candidate should be comfortable learning about NEC's hosting environment and applications to add value to proposals and tenders, especially for Software as a Service opportunities. Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with the sales team on proposals and pitches as an NEC hosting pre-sales subject matter expert.
• Ensuring hosting solutions meet customer requirements and identifying risks to internal stakeholders.
• Working with customers to understand and capture their business needs.
• Presenting proposals alongside sales team members.
• Working with the NEC Design team to ensure technical solutions are deliverable within budget.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience engaging with clients and internal stakeholders, explaining complex technical solutions clearly.
• The ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff.
• Experience in a similar role with a competitor is advantageous.
• Skills in costing solutions on virtualized and physical platforms with multiple technologies.
• Understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions.
• Eligibility for NPPV3 and UK Security Clearance.
• Ability to incorporate resilience and redundancy into technical solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence effectively.
• Good project management and time management skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience designing solutions for the Public Sector and Central Government.
• Basic understanding of network, storage, server, and firewall terminology.
• Knowledge of NEC products.
