Overview
Boldspace is seeking a Technical Product Manager to help shape the future of BoldLens and our action-based suite of AI products that integrates marketing data with proprietary knowledge and AI solutions. This role is ideal for a mid-weight product manager with strong technical fluency, proven experience in end-to-end product delivery, and a passion for managing AI-powered solutions. We are very excited about these new in house innovations at Boldspace, which we feel could be a big part of the direction of travel in our wider industry.
You will work closely with engineering, data, and design teams to deliver a next-generation platform tightly integrated with OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini SDKs, balancing strategic product vision with hands-on delivery.
Reporting to our Head of Product, you will:
- Act as a bridge between engineering, data science, and commercial teams, ensuring BoldLoop continues to evolve as a category-leading AI-native SaaS platform.
- Own end-to-end product lifecycle: from ideation, requirements gathering, and roadmap definition to delivery, iteration, and scaling.
- Manage day-to-day delivery using Linear and other modern product/project tools, ensuring transparency, prioritisation, and accountability.
- Collaborate with engineers to plan, scope, and deliver LLM SDK integrations (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini).
- Ensure product roadmap reflects the opportunities and constraints of LLM-based solutions.
- Possess a high-level understanding of vector databases, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), and retrieval pipelines to contextualise product opportunities.
- Understand the role of APIs (GraphQL and REST) and have basic familiarity with the MCP (Model Context Protocol) to support product design discussions.
- Use SQL/BigQuery at a basic level to validate requirements, check data outputs, and understand system dependencies.
- Translate technical complexity into clear product requirements, business cases, and client-facing narratives.
- Support the Lead Engineer and broader team in balancing the maintenance of the current Ruby on Rails platform (BoldLens) with the delivery of the next-generation AI solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership
- Define and prioritise product features, epics, and user stories.
- Develop and manage product roadmaps aligned with strategic business objectives.
- Run discovery sessions with internal stakeholders and clients to capture needs.
- AI Solutions Management
- Oversee product delivery of integrations with OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini SDKs.
- Evaluate and manage third-party AI tools and solutions for performance, cost, and scalability.
- Partner with engineering and data science teams to translate AI capabilities into tangible user-facing features.
- Delivery & Collaboration
- Manage product delivery using Linear, ensuring sprint planning, backlog management, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with engineers via GitHub workflows, ensuring product priorities align with technical realities.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies: stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives.
- Act as the point of contact for cross-functional teams, balancing priorities and dependencies.
- Strategy & Growth
- Contribute to the product vision, helping shape how AI enhances analytics, automation, and client workflows.
- Monitor performance metrics, user feedback, and industry trends to identify opportunities.
- Support in scaling product management processes as the team grows.
- Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Product Manager (ideally in SaaS, AI, or data platforms).
- Experience overseeing projects that involve OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini SDK integrations.
- High-level understanding of vector databases, RAG pipelines, retrieval systems, and API models (GraphQL, REST, MCP).
- High-level knowledge of SQL and BigQuery, with ability to write and run basic queries.
- Exposure to ETL/ELT solutions such as Fivetran or Airbyte, and a high level of data literacy.
- Hands-on experience managing delivery with Linear (or similar tools: Jira, Clubhouse).
- Strong understanding of end-to-end product lifecycle and agile product development.
- Technical fluency: able to discuss architecture, APIs, and data flows with engineers.
- Familiarity with GitHub workflows, version control basics, and CI/CD processes.
- Strong analytical skills, with ability to link features to KPIs and ROI.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Pensions: a 5% employer contribution.
- Private Healthcare: Vitality
- Equipment: choose your own equipment – let us know which tools you need and we’ll do our best to get them for you.
- Holiday: unlimited holiday (including all UK public holidays) – we trust our staff to take the time they need and still excel in their jobs – and days off for birthdays and moving house are guaranteed!
- Flexible working
- Socials: team socials regularly, chosen by the team.
- Team retreats: time to get to know each other away from the office.
- Bonus: transparent bonus structure where you can receive a % of base salary based on personal and company performance.
- Supporting good causes: we contribute some of our outperformance to charitable causes which the team help choose.
- Wellness: time within working hours every week for those that want or need it.
- Monthly benefits budget: £50 per month, every month, to spend on whatever you want – from a home delivered vegetable box and discounted gym memberships, to mental health support and professional coaching.
