Technical Sales Manager – Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) Location: South-based with national travel. The Role Drives growth across the South by leading business development and estimating for BMU and cradle systems. Combines technical surveying, accurate estimating, proposal creation, and commercial negotiations to secure new business and strengthen client relationships. Key Responsibilities
Identify and secure new business opportunities in the South (focus: BMU/cradle systems). Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, site surveys, specifications, quotations, and contract negotiation. Carry out technical site visits and surveys, producing system specifications, risk assessments, method statements, and technical reports. Prepare accurate estimates and bids for systems, repairs, and remedial works. Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility, correct resourcing and accurate costings. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure repeat business. Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and regulatory standards (e.g., EN standards, safety compliance) to inform strategy. Represent PTSG professionally at client meetings, site visits, and industry events. Manage your own diary effectively, balancing travel, customer visits and internal collaboration.
Requirements
Strong engineering/technical background (mechanical, structural, façade or suspended access systems). Proven sales and estimating experience in BMU, façade access or similar capital equipment. Skilled in preparing technical specifications, proposals, and reports. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, confident engaging with senior stakeholders. Self‑motivated, results‑driven and able to work independently. Strong organisational skills, able to handle multiple opportunities concurrently. Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office. Full UK driving licence with flexibility for travel across the South and occasional UK‑wide. Prior experience with BMUs, cradles, or façade access equipment (highly desirable).
