Technical Services Manager (Building Services Manager) – London

Role

One of London’s most vibrant contractors have a new opportunity for a Technical Services Manager to be an integral part of their exciting projects. You will be involved with CAT A, CAT B and refurbishment projects with construction values ranging between £10m – £70m.

Responsibilities

• Tender and Pre-construction
• Sub-contractor selection
• Setting up systems for testing, inspections and commissioning
• Attend site meetings with site staff and sub-contractors
• Monitor sub-contractor performance & installation quality
• Advise construction team of programme issues and sub-contractor performance
• Supervise snagging and defects in coordination with the Contracts Manager
• Coordinate testing / witnessing and commissioning of HVAC & electrical works associated with the contract

Qualifications & Skills

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in mechanical & electrical services within the London fit-out sector
• A detailed understanding of the principles of engineering
• Proficient time management and the ability to multi-task
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to analyse and solve complex M&E problems
• Confidence and experience in presentation and public speaking
• Experience in supporting live jobs as a project engineer
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering / CIBSE
• From a Principal Contractor background
