Technical Solutions Consultant — Surrey - Hybrid, with remote flexibility — Up to £65k

An established Managed Service Provider is seeking a Technical Solution Consultant to join their team. This position blends traditional infrastructure skills with modern workplace technologies, enabling clients to build secure, scalable, and collaborative environments. The successful candidate will take high-level designs and produce detailed technical solutions, delivering projects such as infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and Microsoft 365 deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver detailed infrastructure designs covering servers, networking, and cloud integrations.
  • Lead Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace implementations, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune.
  • Provide endpoint management and security support using Intune, Autopilot, and Microsoft Defender.
  • Work closely with customers to assess their environments and define transformation roadmaps.
  • Produce technical documentation, run workshops, and hand over solutions to internal teams or clients.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and Microsoft 365 issues in hybrid environments.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and best practices across cloud and infrastructure services.

Key Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in infrastructure or Microsoft 365 consultancy within a Managed Service Provider or IT services setting.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and virtualisation technologies.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune).
  • Knowledge of Azure AD, Autopilot, Defender for Endpoint, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Industry certifications such as MS-102, AZ-104, or MD-102 are advantageous.

Desirable

  • Education sector experience.
