Join Our Team as a Technical Support Developer

We’re excited to be growing our Technology Team and have a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and driven Technical Support Developer.

In this pivotal role, you’ll act as the crucial link between our Technical Support and Development teams—serving as an escalation point for support technicians while also providing hands-on technical input for our developers. You’ll work across a variety of systems, with particular focus on Proclaim and the core tools that underpin our business operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • System Maintenance & Support: To provide general day to day support for users of the Proclaim management System. Dealing with support requests from the internal Helpdesk seeing matters through to resolution. To build relationships with the Service Desk and the Wider Development team with a primary responsibility to manage the Incidents and Problems logged via the Service Desk Portal for all proclaim issues triaged from 1st and 2nd line. Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems. Help identify and resolve issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks to ensure the smooth operation of production systems.
  • Software Development: Assist in the design, development, and testing solutions of the Proclaim case management software as well as other applications and systems under the guidance of senior developers. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
  • Agile Collaboration: Working in an Agile framework, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning/refinement, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Documentation: Contribute to the documentation of code, processes, and solutions for future reference. Ensure that work is appropriately documented to support ongoing development and team knowledge sharing.
  • Training: Ensure the Service Desk team are equipped with dealing with incidents arising from workflows
  • Quality Assurance: Help write tests and participate in code reviews to ensure quality and reliability.

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Proclaim Developer Experience.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a proactive and positive manner
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to write clean, well-structured, and maintainable work with a focus on quality.

  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with a wider team.
  • ITIL: Understanding ITIL framework, particularly the flow from incident to change
  • Proclaim: Able to use Proclaim to a proficient level
