We’re looking for a Technical Trainer to join our Learning & Development Team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of learning at Simply Conveyancing and support colleagues in developing their skills and careers.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery & Design

  • Develop and deliver training on all aspects of the residential conveyancing process, including technical processes, compliance, procedures, and soft skills, to meet business needs and support staff development.
  • Design, develop and implement a structured trainee programme to develop Property Lawyers and enable career progression.
  • Provide training for existing staff to enhance performance, support personal development, ensure consistency and maintain compliance and quality standards.
  • Create and manage a mandatory training calendar in collaboration with subject matter experts (e.g., AML, GDPR, Fraud, Health & Safety) to maximise completion rates.
  • Partner with IT teams to produce and maintain training resources that support effective use of systems and workflows.
  • Collaborate with Compliance teams to produce and maintain training resources that promote best practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver training through multiple channels, including face‑to‑face classroom, virtual sessions, e‑learning, and external providers as required.

Training Materials & Resources

  • Design, update and maintain training materials, guides and resources to ensure alignment with current legislation, CLC requirements and internal policies.
  • Leverage and utilise learning technology and software (e.g. Articulate) to enhance training delivery across multiple formats.
  • Manage, maintain and structure the Learning Management System (LMS) to provide a centralised hub for all learning resources and maintain accurate training records for staff.

Onboarding & Induction

  • Support operational leaders in onboarding new starters through a structured, team and role‑specific induction programme.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR teams to deliver core company induction programmes and manage the full onboarding process.
  • Maintain the LMS as the central hub for induction resources and training records.

Monitoring, Compliance & Reporting

  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, adjusting content and delivery methods to ensure measurable impact across the business.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning by refining and developing training based on feedback, performance metrics, development needs and business priorities.
  • Maintain accurate training records within the LMS, including completion tracking, engagement monitoring and gap analysis.
  • Provide regular reports to the Head of Legal Training on training feedback, completion and engagement, emerging needs and proposals for new programmes.
  • Manage Apprenticeship Levy funds effectively to support staff in completing relevant external training and professional qualifications.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, operational leaders, subject matter experts and support teams to ensure training aligns with business objectives, staff needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively engage with managers to identify training needs and partner with stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous learning.

Continuous Professional Development

  • Stay current with legislative changes, policy updates, Land Registry Practice Guides, lender requirements and industry developments to ensure training content remains accurate and high quality.
  • Maintain compliance with personal CPD requirements under CLC, SRA, CILEX, CIPD.
  • Act as the primary contact for apprenticeships and professional qualifications, liaising with external providers and supporting learners throughout their courses.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional qualification such as CLC, SRA or CILEX.
  • CIPD qualification in Organisational Learning & Development (desirable).
  • Strong technical expertise with experience managing a varied conveyancing caseload (Freehold, Leasehold, Shared Ownership, New Build).
  • Strong knowledge of AML legislation, Land Registry processes, lender requirements and industry standards.
  • Proven experience in training, coaching or mentoring, ideally with an accomplished track record of delivering in‑house training (particularly for graduates, personal development, onboarding new starters, and mandatory training).
  • Proficiency in case management systems and ability to train others on IT systems and workflows.
  • Familiarity with learning technologies and LMS platforms; experience with Articulate is advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of learning theories, styles and evaluation methods, including measuring impact and assessing effectiveness of training.
  • Ability to design and deliver training programmes across multiple formats (e.g. classroom, virtual, e‑learning) with written resources where necessary.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience in conducting Training Needs Analysis and developing training to fill gaps and support development.
  • Proven track record in partnering and collaborating with key stakeholders and operational leaders to identify, develop and deliver training.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on industry trends.
  • Confident in delivering training and facilitating sessions for diverse audiences across different delivery methods.
  • Experience managing Apprenticeship Levy funds and supporting professional qualifications (advantageous).

Additional Information

  • Closing date for applications: 12th January 2026.
  • Reporting line: Head of Legal Training.
  • Part‑time and full‑time applications considered.
  • Hybrid role based from Leeds, Cardiff or Daventry. Travel to offices required with notice.
  • Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Benefits: Extensive package including BUPA.
