You're joining a team that's passionate about building on the foundations of our 'one-bank' approach to deliver simple, safe and secure solutions for NatWest Markets, enabling our people, clients and businesses to thrive.
In your new role it will be your responsibility to identify and implement solutions that deliver value to Traded Market Risk (TMR) while ensuring a controlled and stable regulatory environment. You'll lead in the definition and realisation of solutions, processes and benefits in the market risk technology space.
In the course of your work, we'll also look to you to build, manage and maintain a positive working relationship with stakeholders across multiple functions.
You'll also be:
- Using your market risk knowledge to support others to articulate the ideas and requirements in the format required by the team, such as use cases, user journeys, user stories and illustrations
- Capturing, validating and documenting business and system requirements, and making sure that they're in line with key strategic principles and follow the IT minimum standards requirements for market risk
- Interacting with market risk business, downstream consumers, other key cross-functional stakeholders and the team, to obtain and document functional and non-functional needs
- Supporting the identification of team priorities based upon feedback from the customers, key stakeholders and the team
- Collaborating with stakeholders across market risk, front office, finance, COO, developers, QA, technology platform owners, production support, regulatory & control functions, credit risk and downstream consumers, to ensure requirements are delivered to agreed timescales and standards
- Well informed with the use of AI to help standardise and streamline processes to get value to business faster
- Managing the team's Agile board and running daily stand ups with the team
We'll look to you to bring a good understanding of Agile values, principles and methodologies with experience of working within an Agile environment. A good understanding of FRTB Advanced Standardised Approach would be beneficial.
You'll also need:
- Traded Market Risk business processes, operating models, controls methodologies, and systems experience
- Knowledge of inputs into market risk models, such as sensitivities, market data and products
- Experience of applying business analysis tools and techniques, advanced Excel skills, and at least basic SQL to enable the analysis of large data sets
- Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to your peers and management level colleagues, both in written and verbal formats
- Experience of delivering complex and varied technology projects and business change initiatives
- Investment banking experience
