Role overviewTechnology Consultant (Digital Advisory) role at WSP in the UK & Ireland. The Digital Advisory team partners with government, infrastructure, and enterprise clients to reimagine how technology underpins strategy, operations, and delivery. We are looking for an Azure Enterprise Architect who can translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps, advising senior stakeholders while guiding delivery teams with clear principles and frameworks.What you’ll doAdvise business leaders on cloud strategy, enterprise architecture, and technology modernization.Define roadmaps and strategies – balancing value, cost, risk, and long-term sustainability.Shape governance models and decision frameworks that enable safe, scalable and federated adoption of Azure.Design reference architectures and operating models for identity, networking, security, integration, and data platforms.Guide multi-disciplinary teams – from architects and engineers to programme leaders – ensuring alignment to enterprise standards and client objectives.Enable platform engineering and DevSecOps ways of working (IaC, automation, observability, FinOps).Act as a mentor and thought leader, building capability across WSP and our clients.What we will be looking for you to demonstrateA proven track record shaping and delivering enterprise-scale Azure strategies and architectures.The ability to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, with strong influencing skills at senior levels.Experience of modern cloud operating models, governance frameworks, and assurance in complex organisations.Familiarity with data platform architectures, integration patterns, and automation practices.Consulting mindset – balancing technology with business value, able to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders.Don’t quite meet all the criteria?
