Test Automation Specialist Engineer- upto £65,000- Burgess Hill, UK (Hybrid)
A large scale international banking/ finance client in Burgess Hill, UK is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing robust automated tests to ensure the quality, security, and reliability of our mission-critical banking applications. This is an urgent vacancy where the hiring manager is looking to shortlist for an interview immediately.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure quality, security, and reliability of banking applications.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to define testing strategies and acceptance criteria.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support ongoing test maintenance.
Qualifications
- Overall Experience: 5 years in software testing with a 3-year focus on building scalable automation solutions.
- UI & Mobile Automation: Expertise in modern frameworks including Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, and Appium.
- Core Programming Skills: Strong command of Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript for creating reliable and maintainable test scripts.
- API & Services Testing: Proficient in validating APIs using tools like Rest Assured and Postman.
- DevOps Integration: Experienced in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Emerging Technology: Over 6 months of practical experience applying GenAI tools to enhance quality assurance processes.
- Methodology: Thorough understanding and practical application of Agile and Scrum principles.
