Overview

Test Manager - Defence (DV Security Clearance) role at CGI. This is a hybrid position requiring UK Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance. The role focuses on assuring the quality of enterprise-grade solutions within the Defence sector, leading testing across complex programmes, and driving innovation and delivery success.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of testing activities across secure enterprise-grade systems within the Defence sector.
• Lead test planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring quality standards are met while managing risk and driving continuous improvement.
• Lead and mentor a team of Test Engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, accountability, and clarity across matrix-managed teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact for testing within the project, keeping stakeholders informed, aligned, and engaged throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Drive quality assurance across infrastructure and application testing in a secure environment.
• Develop and deliver test plans, execution cycles, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure robust defect management processes, enabling effective triage, tracking, and closure.
• Guide and support a Test Community of Practice to promote best practices.
• Coordinate and manage testing priorities across cross-functional teams, clarifying ownership and accountability.
• Assess and mitigate testing risks and issues to maintain delivery timelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience in writing detailed test plans and test reports.
• Strong knowledge of defect management processes and tools.
• Prior experience managing and mentoring a team of Test Engineers.
• ISTQB certification (Foundation or higher).
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as SAFe.
• UK nationality and eligibility to obtain or hold DV clearance.
