Overview

Thought Leadership and Client Publications Writer role at myGwork - LGBTQ+ Business Community in association with Clifford Chance. This is an experienced writer/editor position focused on producing high-quality content for thought leadership, client publications, client briefings, blogs, newsletters, and related formats.

What You Will Do

• Write content based on interviews/conversations with lawyers or write ups of events/webinars in long or short form, including client briefings, blogs, newsletters, and scripts for video or podcasts.
• Collaborate with lawyers across the globe to craft publications of the highest quality, advising on structure, style and tone; edit content produced in partnership with external organisations.
• Assist in creating Partner Primers – short journalistic articles that summarize global issues and legal topics for quick consumption by lawyers.
• Develop ideas for content addressing issues that will impact clients in the future.
• Meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively; some flexibility outside UK time zones may be required.

Qualifications

• An excellent academic record.
• Experience in journalism is essential – preferably at national level.
• Excellent writing, editing and research skills; strong command of language.
• Ability to write quickly and clearly without overreliance on AI, with willingness to experiment with AI tools.
• Experience in writing long and short form content.
• Ability to communicate complex issues clearly to tight deadlines.
• Strong interest in geopolitics, business and economics.
• Clear and concise oral communication; strong influencing, persuading and networking skills including at Partner level.
• Natural curiosity and ability to learn about client sectors.
• Understanding of brand and tone-of-voice guidelines and consistency.
• Proven ability to build strong working relationships and strong planning/organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
