Location: Bradford / Hybrid Working (Typically one day in the office per week Bradford)

Work type: This is a permanent position. Working 37 hours per week, Monday Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Town Planning Project Co-ordinator to join the Town Planning Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

The Town Planning Development team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.

The Town Planning Development Team is responsible for responding to planning application and local plan consultations from local planning authorities as well as direct approaches to Development Consent Order consultations.

Where You Fit In

As our Town Planning Project Co-ordinator, you will:

Deal with all enquiries, telephone, mail or email requiring technical advice, clarification and application support

Monitor and track the Planning Consultancy Framework mailbox and allocate/record projects to planning consultants in line with the Framework and in discussion with the Town Planning Manager (Capital Delivery).

Record planning application and local plan consultations arriving into the team, and record progress through to final decision in association with town planning colleagues.

Maintain an open door policy with planning consultants, Yorkshire Water Project Managers, developers and designers to ensure the smooth progress of their scheme through the delivery process

Attend internal and external meetings as required to represent Yorkshire Water where support is required

Report on compliance with KPIs for planning application/local plan consultations as required by the Senior Town Planning Manager.

What Skills & Qualifications You Will Need

Previous experience of projects, partnership working and financial management

Ability to focus on specific activities whilst understanding the wider impact of service delivery to all customers

Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships with colleagues and customers

Able to negotiate and influence and work on your own initiative

Highly organised, able to work towards stringent timescales, with the ability to multi-task, as the role demands

Commitment and flexibility are key, along with the ability to cope under pressure, calmly and rationally.

Puts the customer at the heart of everything we do, always considers the customers point of view

Demonstrates financial awareness when making day to day business decisions

Excellent communication skills, particularly report writing, presentation and analytical skills

Good IT skills, experienced in using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel and Office 365
