OverviewWe're looking for a forward-thinking Solutions and Capabilities Manager to drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable technology solutions that support business growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, systems thinking, and technical execution. You'll work closely with technology teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to identify capability gaps, design solutions, and ensure our tech stack evolves to meet future demands.Capabilities Strategy & DevelopmentAssess current capabilities and identify gaps or areas for improvement and innovation.Champion best practices in software development, automation, and system integration.Lead initiatives to enhance team skills, tools, and processes.Develop and maintain a roadmap for capabilities aligned with business strategy.Solution & DeliveryLead the design and implementation of end-to-end solutions that align with business and technology goals.Translate complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions.Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (e.g. AI/ML, cloud-native platforms, APIs).Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with data and technical teams to ensure alignment on solution design and delivery.Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and buy-in.Facilitate workshops, capability assessments, and solution demos.Collaborate with vendor teams to manage vendor relationships and evaluate third-party tools and platforms.Project & Change Management LeadershipLead cross-functional initiatives from concept to execution, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget and measurable impact.Manage end-to-end delivery, including planning, execution, and post-implementation review.Monitor solution performance and continuously optimize scalability, security, and efficiency.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.5+ years of experience in design, business analysis, or capability development; solution architecture, systems integration, or program management in a tech environment.Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern product development lifecycles.Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, project, problem-solving and leadership skills.Strong understanding of enterprise systems, digital transformation, systems and process improvement; cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), APIs, and microservices.Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, MS Power Platform, or similar.Certification in Agile, PMP, Six Sigma, or similar is a plus.About Expedia and BenefitsExpedia is committed to creating an inclusive work environment with a diverse workforce.
