The purpose of this position is to contribute to the EthosEnergy’s vision of creating fast, dependable, and creative solutions for our customers. The position will cover both EthosEnergy Light Turbines Limited and EthosEnergy (GBR) Limited’s divisions. As the Trade Compliance and Logistics Coordinator for both entities, you will manage logistics, ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations, and coordinate shipments efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
- Primary contact responsible for arranging import and export logistics for designated EthosEnergy location(s).
- Manage key freight forwarder and customs broker relationships including performance management and issue resolution.
- Book freight, co-ordinate shipping information and paperwork and maintain electronic records for dispatch and receipt of goods.
- Assist in annual Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) Audits with external DGSA.
- Provide Commercial Invoices (export) and Clearance Instructions (import), ensuring all HMRC related documents and records are correct prior to shipment to eliminate any delay.
- Maintain import and export databases and corresponding electronic logistics files per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Complete Import/Export Audits for each Import/Export and complete appropriate corrective actions, including Post Entry Amendment submissions direct to HMRC.
- Collate and submit Duty Saving Program Reporting such as; IPR, OPR, as required directly to HMRC.
- Collate and submit KPI Reporting to the Trade Compliance Function, as required
- Act as the focal point within the business for internal and external audits relating to Trade Compliance.
- Act as first escalation level for trade compliance and logistics related queries as they arise from within the business.
- Liaise with Goods In/ Out to ensure that all documentation is logged and scanned and that shipping database is accurately maintained.
- First point of escalation to assist in trade compliance Standard Operating Procedures within the business.
- Assist with determining Export Control Classifications (ECCN) from an export control perspective and identifying any export licensing requirements.
- Maintain an ECCN Database.
- Ability to plan, prioritise & organise working in a structured and logical manner as well as challenge and contribute to the department and company process
- Proficiency in managing import and export operations
- Ability to track shipments and handle customs clearance
- Working current knowledge in HMRC procedures and requirements focusing on HTC’s, CPC’s, IPR, OPR, Customs, Warehousing, Prior Export Equivalence, Valuation Methods, Country of Origin, ECCNs and export licence requirements
- Ability to monitor the movement of items under customs control and prepare declarations e.g. IPR declarations and Diversions to Home Use entries
- Previous experience in booking international/domestic freight and maintaining accurate records for HMRC purposes would be essential
- Knowledge and understanding of import/export legislation-Essential
- Dangerous goods awareness would be a benefit but not essential
- Previous exposure to Oil & Gas Service Industry environment would be beneficial but not essential
- Full driving license
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Previous experience in international trade, shipping, or supply chain management
- Experience with trade compliance regulations and logistics operations
- Familiarity with customs procedures and documentation
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or a related field is preferred but not essential
- Full driving license
