Trade Planning Senior Analyst (9-12 month Parental Leave Cover Contract)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trade Planning Senior Analyst to join Tesco on a 9-12 month parental leave cover contract. This role involves supporting the rollout of strategic initiatives, shaping price and promotion strategies through advanced analysis and modelling.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling large data volumes using modern tools, especially SQL (Teradata and Hadoop).

Responsibilities

• Supporting strategic projects like Price Index development, Promotional Optimisation, and Trade Plan delivery
• Performing analyses for indexing, competitiveness, investment modelling, and more
• Identifying and resolving complex data issues
• Supporting end-to-end processes from planning to performance review
• Creating Tableau dashboards
• Automating processes and improving efficiencies
• Collaborating with various teams to align and execute commercial strategies
• Conducting ad hoc research and analysis

Requirements

• Experience with large data handling using SQL (Teradata, Hadoop)
• Strong Excel and Tableau skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Python, VBA, or similar tools
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Practical experience applying data analysis to improve customer experience
