You’ll lead the design and delivery of traffic signal projects, ensuring technical excellence and safety in design. Your leadership will extend beyond project work, as you mentor and support the development of our wider team.In this role, you willLead and undertake traffic signal design projects from concept to deliveryCollaborate with clients and internal teams to drive growth and innovationChampion technical quality and safety throughout project lifecyclesManage resources, forecast inputs, and ensure delivery to programme and budgetUphold compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, aligning with Jacobs’ safety-first cultureAt Jacobs, we’re transforming the way the world moves. As a market leader in the transportation sector, we partner with major clients including National Highways, Transport Scotland, the Welsh Government, and numerous local authorities.Here's what you'll needDegree in Civil, Electrical, or Transport Engineering (or related field)Experience in designing and reviewing traffic signal schemes from feasibility to implementationProficiency in AutoCAD, LinSig, MOVA, and other traffic modelling toolsAbility to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineersSkilled in budgeting, resource planning, and programme managementFamiliarity with health and safety legislation and CDM regulationsIn-depth knowledge of relevant design standardsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalWe aim to embed inclusion and belonging in everything we do.
