Overview

Join to apply for the Trainee Sales Advisor role at Marsh Commercial. This role is based in the Witham office and is a hybrid position requiring at least four days per week in the office.

The role offers a fully funded training programme and the opportunity to attain chartered insurance qualifications. As part of our new Sales team, you’ll be responsible for generating sales leads via the telephone and providing information to support ongoing sales campaigns. This is a superb opportunity to launch a career within a sustainable and exciting industry with potential progression to the Client Advisory team.

We will rely on you to:

  • Provide excellent client service on all aspects of account management to our clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards
  • Ensure timely completion of all set tasks, always ensuring client satisfaction
  • Demonstrate adaptability to support colleagues in completing business-critical tasks
  • Manage quotation requests from prospective clients
  • Share product and service information with clients when requested
  • Review sales data to identify sales effectiveness
  • Respond to queries via email and telephone
  • Through training, coaching and mentoring, gain a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance we offer and stay abreast of new technical and product developments

What you need to have:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence on the phone
  • A willingness to learn
  • A willingness to make a high-volume number of outbound sales calls
  • Good time management and punctuality
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, administration and communication skills demonstrated via qualifications/grades
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work flexibly when required
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office suite and similar products

  • Prior insurance experience is welcome but not essential
