We have a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and motivated team player to join us as a Trainee Technical Advisor on a part-time, flexible hours basis. This is a fantastic chance to start your career in the Technical Advisor field and provide the best customer service and advice to our customers.

Please note that this Trainee Technical Advisor role is offered on a part-time, flexible hours basis. Hours to be 4 hours a day in the summer – 20 hours per week, with a flex up to 42.5 hours in the cooler 6 months, or to cover holidays, or simply as required.

As a Trainee Technical Advisor, you’ll be committed to delivering an outstanding level of service, and you’ll be professional, driven and enthusiastic. The purpose of the Trainee Technical Advisor role is to provide underfloor heating technical advice and support to trade and domestic customers, over the phone and via email. As this is a trainee role, no previous knowledge is required as full training will be provided. You will provide the highest level of service to internal and external customers.

You will be contracted to a set minimum number of hours per week, and you will be required to be flexible to work additional hours to deliver the best customer experience, especially during the peak trading winter heating season. Where possible, hours and shifts will be agreed with you with plenty of notice so that you know exactly what you are doing and when! You’ll naturally promote and embrace our inclusive team environment and we’re sure you’ll have some fun along the way!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer technical phone calls and manage technical support email accounts. Responding to all queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Understand the different types of enquiries for technical support to be able to prioritise workload
  • Build strong relationships with the sales team to assist with technical queries from potential customers and support the increase of conversion rates
  • Build a level of understanding towards the customer’s needs and resolve any technical issues that they may be facing.
  • Effective resolution to any minor queries, escalating any more complex queries or complaints that need further investigation to the Technical Manager
  • Take end users through the programming and understanding of how best to utilise the underfloor heating systems
  • Support with both tradesman and DIYers installing the Heating systems
