Transport Planner

Do you have previous experience within transport planning and traffic engineering? Are you a highly motivated individual looking to grow and develop? If so, SCP Transport & Planning – an RSK Group company – would love to hear from you!

As our Transport Planner you will be fully conversant with national and local planning guidance and technical design standards, as well as being up to date with the latest tools available to ensure the accuracy of the advice given in the field of transport planning/highway design. You will require an ability to think innovatively and proactively, with the role requiring an appreciation of the financial and project management skills required to ensure that the companies’ competitiveness in the marketplace is retained.

Main Responsibilities:

You will also provide essential support to senior management for certain marketing, IT or administrative activities that are essential to the smooth running of the business.

Person Specification & Experience:

You will have excellent interpersonal, oral and communication skills, as well as being able to manager your own time effectively to enable you to work to tight deadlines.

You will ideally have previous experience in understanding the principles and techniques of transport planning and traffic engineering, and the planning system and development control process. Knowledge of local and national planning appeal processes would be desirable.

A Relevant degree, such as geography / engineering / planning (various are applicable) or MSc in Transport Planning or HND would be desirable.
