Location: Hybrid working, with attendance at Head Office

Duration: Currently a 1 year Fixed Term Contract

THE ROLE

We have a new opportunity for a Trauma-Informed Research Lead to provide specialist advisory, consultancy, training and supervision services to support the work of IMPACT: The Centre for Post-Collision Research, Innovation and Translation. The role will focus on embedding trauma-informed principles across all IMPACT activities, helping to improve the outputs of our UK-based and international projects, review and refine protocols, and help shape future research and funding opportunities. They will advise on policy and practice to safeguard the mental health of those working within post-collision care.

THE CANDIDATE

We’re looking for someone with dedicated trauma-informed expertise who can ensure best practice in the prevention, recognition and management of psychological trauma by delivering clear, sensitive and evidence-based advice and training to internal and external stakeholders. They will be confident in representing IMPACT at conferences, stakeholder meetings and public events, and in building collaborative relationships with mental health, trauma and emergency care specialists. They will have extensive experience in psychological trauma consultancy, ideally within emergency, disaster or humanitarian contexts, as well as experience of advising on research design.

Salary: £13,600 per annum pro rata (£68,000 FTE)
