Treasury and Tax Manager

We're looking for an experienced finance professional to join us on a 4-month fixed-term contract, leading the management of our funding portfolio and overseeing tax compliance across the ClwydAlyn Group. Working closely with the Head of Finance and colleagues across the business, you'll manage the Treasury and Income Teams, ensuring funds are used efficiently, risks are mitigated, and all financial activity aligns with our values of Trust, Kindness, and Hope. This is a hands‑on and strategic role, perfect for someone who thrives on detail, collaboration, and purpose. You'll oversee day‑to‑day cashflow, debt management, and tax reporting, while providing insight and advice to support decision‑making across the organisation. Lead and manage the Treasury & Income Teams.
Responsibilities

Treasury and Funding Management
- Oversee all funding arrangements, including drawdowns, repayments, covenants, and security documentation.
- Support the Head of Finance and Executive Team with new debt and refinancing projects.
- Maintain strong external relationships with lenders, advisors, and stakeholders.
Cashflow and Financial Planning
- Manage day‑to‑day cashflow and forecasting to ensure funds are available when needed.
- Maintain and develop financial models (including BRIXX) to support long‑term planning.
- Provide clear, timely insight and analysis to inform decision‑making.
Tax Management and Compliance
- Ensure the Group complies with all relevant tax legislation and reporting requirements.
- Oversee accurate tax accounting and the timely submission of returns and payments.
- Offer sound tax advice to the Head of Finance and Executive Team, identifying risks and opportunities.
Governance and Continuous Improvement
- Support audits and the development of policies and financial strategies.
- Drive efficiency and innovation within the Finance function.
- Champion value for money and robust financial control.
Qualifications
You'll bring strong experience in treasury management, cashflow forecasting, and tax compliance, ideally within a complex, multi‑entity organisation. You'll be confident managing people and relationships, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and improvement.

You’ll hold a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or CIPFA) or equivalent professional experience. A management qualification or leadership training would be an advantage.
