Overview

We are recruiting a UK&I Stock & Procurement Manager to join our team based in West Yorkshire (Whitley, DN14 0HR). We offer a hybrid working pattern with a mix of office and remote working.

What you will be doing

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director UK&I, you will work with key stakeholders within the UKI business and Group to ensure UK stock is managed to achieve the lowest possible stock holding, maximize stock availability and forecast accurately. This is a key role that will act as the main point of contact for all stock related reporting and queries, managing new parts creation and procurement. This role will also challenge, contribute to and facilitate the UK and Group objective of maximising revenues whilst reducing working capital.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Proven experience in procurement and inventory management, ideally in a commercial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a strong emphasis on detail and accuracy
  • Commercial understanding and awareness
  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

Required Competencies

  • Lateral thinker who can work systematically and methodically through processes, with the ability to \"think outside the box\" in identifying and developing solutions that benefit the business

Your day-to-day responsibilities

  • Work with the Commercial Finance team, Sales and Operations to build an accurate monthly demand plan, covering all revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with Group Operations to understand parts creation/maintenance process, document it, identify task owners, and ensure compliance.
  • Manage and reduce slow moving and obsolete stock, and ensure accurate provisions on the balance sheet.
  • Understand and drive the split delivery process for Group Living, reporting on non-compliance.
  • Manage UK stock allocation (including shortages and 3rd party) to maximise revenue, liaising with Group Living Project Planning and Sales, and communicating requirements to Group Operations.
  • Manage and report on Sub-Contractor warehouses, highlight risks and reduce stock holding.
  • Review Lease Warehouse process and make recommendations to optimise lease stock.
  • Create and distribute daily reporting: lead time by product; lead time by customer; shortages and month end risk.
  • Identify trends, risks and opportunities, and communicate to the UKI Commercial Finance Director.
  • Provide summary commentary for Executive and Group Reporting packs.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with Requisition to Pay policy for the purchase of special parts, Fleet and other consumption-based procurement (e.g. utilities).
