Ultrasound Clinical Trainer Location: Leicester (relocation package available) (regular travel required, expenses covered) Salary: £48,000 – £52,000 per annum Job type: Permanent, full-time Sponsorship: This employer is able to sponsor applicants who meet the necessary qualifications and experience requirements. About the role: A leading provider of NHS and private healthcare is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Clinical Trainer to support Sonographers across Leicester. This role involves delivering training, supervision, and clinical support while ensuring the highest standards of ultrasound service delivery. The successful candidate will oversee training, conduct audits, provide second opinions, and ensure adherence to clinical guidelines. They will work closely with the Clinical Lead to maintain a safe and effective working environment that meets patient and staff needs. Key responsibilities: * Undertake ultrasound procedures in line with RCR & SOR standards. * Provide training and supervision for trainee Sonographers in all areas of scanning and reporting. * Conduct clinical audits, compile results, and provide feedback to support continuous improvement. * Offer second opinions and review reports for quality assurance. * Support the Operational Management Team with service queries and Sonographer cover as required. * Investigate and respond to service user complaints and incidents in line with governance procedures. * Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organisational policies. Requirements: * Opportunity to get CASE-accredited Ultrasound qualification. * Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Ultrasound (or equivalent). * Registration with HCPC, SoR, or RCT. * Experience in clinical audits, compiling results, and presenting outcomes. * Strong understanding of Data Protection Act, Information Governance, and Caldicott Principles. * Knowledge of Care Quality Commission (CQC) fundamental standards for healthcare. * Significant clinical experience as a qualified Sonographer, undertaking a wide range of procedures. * Ability to train, support, and motivate team members. * Experience in performing and managing ultrasound clinical audits. * Full UK driving licence.
