Purpose Of The Role

To work within the Equinox Lectio team and support the underwriters to help deliver growth and expansion of this cross class underwriting facility.

Key Role Accountabilities

  • Logging of agreed slips and endorsements to capture Lectio’s progress
  • Sending slips for processing and, where required, aggregate teams for reporting to insurers
  • Where required, sending endorsements to processing and aggregate teams for reporting to insurers
  • Assist with the final document download from PPL and Whitespace
  • Ensure documents are filed in the correct file and appropriately tagged
  • Ensure that emails/files are loaded to the document management system at the appropriate time
  • Send bdx and paid bdx to insurers on a monthly basis
  • Update quote sheet with quote status from underwriters’ tool
  • Liaise with brokers for any outstanding quote status
  • Participate in regular team meetings to review progress against targets
  • Assist with pre-review during busy periods
  • Build good working relationships with the various broking teams
  • Option to participate in: review of bdx data; preparation of reports; system testing prior to implementation

Qualifications & Experience

  • No specific Insurance experience is required
  • High level proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel – PowerPoint experience can be beneficial
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills

Person Specification

The role would be predominantly home working with days in London when required. You should be self-motivated and disciplined but also a team player. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical, with an interest in data and spotting inconsistencies as an asset. A willingness to be involved in more in-depth work during busy periods, with a view to learning the underwriting role and progressing to that role. You should be comfortable working with all members of the team and contacting brokers to chase outstanding items.
