Overview

User Technology Engineering Lead (Transformation) at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months. Salary from £53,949 to £62,160 per annum inclusive with potential to progress to £69,073 per annum inclusive of London allowance. LSE is a cosmopolitan university in central London, with the Data and Technology Services (DTS) division serving over 14,000 staff and students. This role leads the transformation of end-user technology and the modernisation of the endpoint computing estate.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design and implementation of modern endpoint services, including zero-touch provisioning and automation.
  • Oversee the configuration and integration of platforms like Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro, and SCCM.
  • Collaborate with IT, security and service delivery teams to align technology with organisational goals.
  • Inspire and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure secure, efficient, and user-focused device management across Windows and macOS environments.

Requirements

  • A track record of delivering complex technical projects in a multi-platform environment, ideally within higher education or a similarly complex organisation.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable and user-focused device management solutions.
  • Extensive hands-on experience configuring and managing endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Autopilot and Jamf Pro across Windows and macOS environments.
