Join to apply for the UX Designer (12-Month FTC) role at Lloyds Banking Group
Overview
We’re part of the Customer & Commercial Platform at Lloyds Banking Group, focused on delivering new or enhanced propositions for underserved customer segments within the bank.
Our work is predominantly app focused, across the three main brands of Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland, together serving over 21 million customers across the three banking apps. The design team works closely with product, analytics and engineering to solve problems for customers—researching, crafting and delivering new and innovative propositions and features. It’s an exciting time as we broaden and evolve our offering to build deeper, more valuable relationships with customers.
We have a unique opportunity, with the breadth of products and services that LBG offers, to help customers achieve their savings goals and future aspirations.
What you'll be doing
- You'll lean towards the discovery and UX side of the product design spectrum, designing the app experience for Goals and Planning propositions.
- You'll contribute to design workshops, conduct competitor research, create wireframes and journey maps, support user research, and more.
- You'll work closely with the rest of the design squad, proactively communicating, contributing ideas, and challenging each other's thinking.
- You'll live in Figma and Figjam. Whiteboard sessions, wireframing and prototyping are your bread and butter.
- You'll enjoy and contribute towards a bold, positive and inclusive team culture.
- You'll be equally comfortable running a stakeholder call to share a new concept, being head-down working on a new flow, or listening in to a usability test with a customer.
Who you are
- You're passionate about delivering all things UX and product design.
- You're highly skilled and competent at what you do. You pride yourself on your work and have a strong attention to detail.
- You've designed for iOS / Android apps before and are always up to speed with best practices.
- You always take ownership of your work and are good at managing your own time. You're able to balance multiple tasks at once.
- You care about your craft and ultimately want to make a difference. You're an advocate for simplicity, usability and accessibility.
- You're proactive, always looking for the next innovation or efficiency.
About working for us
Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity or culture.
We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. And it's why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups.
We're disability confident. So if you'd like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.
