Overview
Are you an experienced vet looking to join a growing practice that will support your development paying up to £65,000 (FTE, DOE)
Bedlington practice is a stand-alone practice that has developed a fantastic reputation for providing excellent care for its patients. The practice is growing and is looking for another vet to join to support this growth. Full-time and part-time hours can be considered. Your career development will be supported with a generous CPD allowance. You will work with the owner, Robert, which allows decisions to be made quickly. The hours will be 2 days + and will involve 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am to 12pm). No out-of-hours (OOH) or Sundays.
About Us
“I had to write this review as Vets4Pets in Bedlington were simply amazing. The reception staff were great as they could see my struggles. The vet and vet nurse couldn’t have been nicer and more supportive.”
“Absolutely brilliant team, every single member of staff is incredibly knowledgeable and, most importantly, caring.”
Bedlington Vets4Pets opened in March 2016 and has steadily become a well-loved staple in the heart of the local community. The practice has been purpose built with industry-leading standards and has market-leading equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound and in-house laboratory facilities. Our small friendly team of 2.5 Veterinary Surgeons is led by the practice owner, Robert, who is a very experienced veterinary surgeon currently pursuing his Surgical Certificate, enabling more specialist operations in practice, including laparoscopic spays. The rest of the clinical support team is made up of 4 RVNs, 2 VCAs, 5 CCAs and a Practice Manager. All the team work together to ensure the best care is offered to patients at every step of their journey.
The role
The role is ideally for an experienced veterinary surgeon who will feel confident with all routine surgeries and consultations and be happy with sole charge on Saturdays.
This unique opportunity is ideal for those who want a healthier work/life balance, as Robert can be flexible with what we offer. We are looking for a part-time or full-time candidate, with a minimum of 2 days. There are no OOH requirements and no Sundays with this position.
What you can expect in return
- A competitive salary up to £65,000 (FTE, DOE)
- A generous CPD allowance
- Pension scheme
- Paid professional registration fees
- Access to the Reward Hub with colleague discounts and a 20% discount at Vets4Pets, Pets at Home and the Groom Room
Sharing our passion and commitment for high standards will help you thrive within this role. The team would love someone who can bring new ideas and ambition, as they are always looking for ways to improve and grow. The practice is inclusive, supportive, and non-judgemental.
If you like the sound of the above and would like to apply or find out further information, please email Rach at northvet@vets4pets.com and someone will get back to you in one working day.
