Role
Alantra’s FIG team is looking for an ambitious and driven Vice President to join our growing London or Dublin office. This is a central role in executing high-impact transactions across the European financial services sector, while working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. As a VP, you’ll manage multiple live deals, help shape strategy and execution, and play an active role in business development, client relationship management, and mentoring junior colleagues. We’re seeking candidates with strong execution experience, sector knowledge, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of transaction execution across multiple projects
- Help financial institutions decide whether to securitise, sell, or retain assets
- Advise on balance sheet strategy, funding options, and capital impact
- Act as main day-to-day contact for clients and external advisers
- Lead the development of client deliverables with support from junior team members
- Ensure rigorous internal compliance and process standards are upheld
- Contribute to origination efforts and identify new commercial opportunities
- Participate in recruitment, training and mentoring of junior colleagues
- Support development of strategic initiatives to drive the FIG practice forward
What We’re Looking For / Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in investment banking or corporate finance with exposure to FIG
- Excellent project management and written and verbal communication skills
- Strong financial modelling skills
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead and develop others
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for financial services
- Native Italian language skills (required)
