Job Description

VMO Demand & Delivery Specialist – A leader within the Value Management Office (VMO – think Enterprise PMO / Strategic PMO), rolling out and embedding new demand and delivery governance frameworks, driving continuous improvement as the organisation evolves, and supporting the delivery team with guardrails that drive value.

The role

  • Manages governance frameworks to support strategic decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver value to the organisation.
  • Owns and maintains governance frameworks Waterfall / Agile / Hybrid to ensure compliance, accountability, and transparency in decision-making processes, supporting the Heads of Delivery and other senior stakeholders to deliver great quality outcomes.
  • Continuously improves Value Management, bringing experience of transforming PMOs, identifying improvements and delivering incremental benefits.
  • VMO Team: ensures high-quality data, keeps content up to date, broadens self-service capability for the wider business, and enables VMO to support more teams with transparent communication.
  • Make VMO the Hub of Delivery Insight by centralising and automating delivery reporting; replace static reports with real-time dashboards and insights; improve decision-making with timely, accurate data; reduce manual reporting and provide proactive, outcome-based communications (including Exco, Director, and Board level reporting).
  • Maintain a strategic level “traditional PMO” role, supporting Head of Delivery and Enablement Director with proactive and transformational approaches.

Systems and Change

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in strategic systems (ServiceNow & Jira).
  • Train and educate the wider business community as changes occur, focusing on content development and effective Organisational Change Management.

The person

  • Extensive experience in a PMO and/or Technology Transformation environment.
  • Understanding of governance principles and practices to establish governance frameworks, policies, and procedures that ensure compliance, accountability, and transparency.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels and foster buy-in for process improvement and governance initiatives.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills to convey audit findings, insights and recommendations.
  • Competency in project management principles to plan, execute, and monitor governance initiatives.
  • Experience in high-change / transformational environments with ability to deliver quick incremental outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to evaluate issues and collaborate with wider quality teams to develop solutions.
  • Familiarity with risk management principles to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with process changes and governance structures.
  • Excellent analytical skills to analyse data against performance indicators and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • P30 or similar qualifications.
  • ServiceNow / Jira experience.
