Join XRUK’s Digital Rebellion team as a Team Connector. Help represent us in XR meetings, share updates, and connect our digital activists with campaigns. A flexible, remote role to support climate action from home.
What difference will you make?
This is an inspiring opportunity to play a key role in shaping how XRUK uses digital action to support campaigns. Work alongside a passionate and creative team. Develop your coordination and communication skills. Contribute to meaningful climate action from home.
What we’re looking for
- Essential skills: Strong communication skills, with at least 3 years’ experience in a coordination, facilitation, or communications role

- Confident using a computer, online messaging platforms, and shared documents
- Desirable: Experience in remote or volunteer-led team environments
- Familiarity with XRUK groups and circles (helpful but not essential)
- Experience representing a team or organisation in external meetings
What will you be doing?
Digital Rebellion is a small, dynamic team within Extinction Rebellion UK that creates accessible, at-home digital actions to engage people in nonviolent climate activism—wherever they are.
The Role We are looking for a Team Connector (External Coordinator) to represent Digital Rebellion within XR UK’s wider network. You’ll attend weekly meetings with Digital Rebellion and Operations, share updates on upcoming campaigns, and identify where our team can best support other XR groups. You’ll also help keep the flow of information moving between Digital Rebellion and other teams. This is a flexible and collaborative role that can be shared between two people to reduce time commitment.
What You’ll Do
- Represent Digital Rebellion at XRUK meetings.
- Report back to the team on campaign opportunities and collaboration possibilities.
- Manage information flow between our team and others.
- Support Team Guides (Internal Coordinators) when necessary.
- Act as the main point of contact for other XR groups wanting to connect with Digital Rebellion.
Accessibility & Support
- Remote working with flexible hours
- Zoom with closed captions enabled
- Support and onboarding provided by the current Internal Coordinator
- Requires access to a computer, keyboard, and stable internet connection
