Overview

As an experienced Waste Management Consultant or Senior Process Engineer with a background in the nuclear sector, you will provide practical and consultative expertise to a variety of clients within the UK nuclear sector. Your focus will be on improving the efficiency and safety of nuclear processes related to nuclear waste and nuclear materials, as well as leading and supporting engineering projects focused on both new and existing technology to support the efficient and safe operation of radioactive waste.

Responsibilities

  • Provide both practical and consultative expertise to clients within the UK nuclear sector to improve the efficiency and safety of nuclear waste and nuclear materials.
  • Lead and support engineering projects focused on new and existing technology to support the efficient and safe operation of radioactive waste.
  • Work closely within engineering and client teams to deliver high quality solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience working on a nuclear licensed site or directly on projects for deployment on nuclear licensed sites.
  • Direct experience of nuclear decommissioning and waste management projects.
  • Practical experience of plant design from concept to detail, process flow and P&ID development, experimental design, plant scale‑up and plant estimating/costing.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures including hazard and operability (HAZOP) and safety case input.
