Waste Project Officer

Grade E1 - £34,434 to £37,280 per annum

The Council are looking to recruit a Waste Project Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract/secondment to support with the delivery of significant service improvement projects and waste education work aimed at increasing recycling and creating cleaner communities in the district.

Working in the Contract Services team, the post will report to the Contract Development & Enforcement Officer and work closely with the Waste Education & Enforcement Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of service improvement projects aimed at increasing recycling, minimising waste and supporting cleaner communities in Warwick District.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of the Council’s Waste Education Strategy and related communications channels.
  • Providing advice and education, and taking part in activities such as door-stepping, roadshows, exhibitions and presentations that promote recycling, waste reduction and cleaner communities.
  • Conducting a range of administrative duties related to waste education and projects.

Requirements

Candidates should have experience of working in a public liaison role and be able to demonstrate experience of planning and delivering service improvement projects. Professional experience of publicity and promotion and an understanding of the importance of a clean environment is also desirable.

Other information

The intention is for the postholder to work predominately from home however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. However, office and hybrid working are also available.
