Join Southern Water, a pioneer in water and waste management services, as a Wastewater Governance & Assurance Lead. Partnering with the Wastewater Governance & Assurance Manager, you'll be part of a team spearheading first line assurance within the Wastewater directorate. Your expertise will shape the development, enhancement, and maintenance of control systems ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards. In this role, you'll work closely with the regulator during EA Alignment review meetings, analysing and reconciling data, and providing performance information including pollution forecasting and analysis to various stakeholders. You'll diagnose potential faults, recommend modifications, and ensure compliance while effectively communicating with WW field teams and resolving operational problems. This role is key in reducing Wastewater Compliance Failures & Pollution incidents, supporting Southern Water's commitment to compliance and governance.

You will also support first line assurance for data within Wastewater regulatory reports (e.g., the Annual Spill Report, Bathing Water, OFWAT Compliance Framework). You'll facilitate assurance for Wastewater regulatory commitments, ensure compliance for internal and regulatory reporting, and liaise with internal teams to drive improvements. Responsibilities include responding to regulatory data requests, supporting assurance activities, and driving process improvements.

To succeed, you should have knowledge of Wastewater operational activities and environmental risks, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to write regulatory-standard reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications, along with strong problem-solving skills, is essential.
