Year 4 Psychiatry Integrated Core Unit (ICU) Lead

This role is a secondment position for three years, during which you must be an active clinician and remain employed by a University of Leeds affiliated NHS organisation or partnership trust.

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for hybrid working arrangements. We are open to discussing flexible working options.

The ICU equips students with the knowledge and skills to assess and initiate management of common psychiatric conditions. It aims to develop students' understanding of the importance of mental health across medicine. This learning is delivered alongside a 25-day Psychiatry placement.

We seek an enthusiastic and motivated individual with experience in course delivery, assessment, curriculum design, and scholarship of teaching and learning. You should be able to collaborate effectively, motivate, and inspire learners. You will become a valued member of the MBChB delivery team and the division of psychological and social medicine, supporting innovation and introducing new teaching methods.

You will also collaborate with colleagues to support pioneering curriculum design, utilizing interactive, inclusive, and authentic learning and assessment methods.

Applications from candidates who already hold a clinical appointment in the region and wish to combine this with an academic role are welcome. For NHS employees, it is essential that their organisation is affiliated with the University of Leeds. The role has a workload of 0.2 FTE.
