MCS Group is delighted to be working with a leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractor operating across the UK and Ireland. They are seeking a skilled Senior Estimator to join their Civil Engineering team and play a key role in securing complex, high-value infrastructure projects.

As Senior Estimator, you'll lead the preparation of competitive tenders from initial concept through to submission. You'll collaborate with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners to develop robust cost plans and accurate pricing strategies, while identifying risks and opportunities throughout the bid process.

• Lead estimating for large-scale and complex civil engineering tenders (>£50m).
• Produce detailed cost plans and bills of quantities.
• Engage with designers, commercial, and delivery teams.
• Assess tender documentation and identify key risks.
• Liaise with the supply chain to inform methodology and pricing.
• Support handover to delivery teams and participate in post-tender reviews.

Criteria:

• Proven experience in Estimating Large Civil Engineering projects.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Excellent numerical and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings.

Desirable:

• Degree or HND in a relevant discipline.
• Marine or piling experience (not essential).
• Site experience on civil engineering projects.
