This is a brand-new leadership opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to step into a strategic role shaping the direction of the BA practice locally.
You'll be the go-to person for all things business analysis across the UK function - aligning closely with the global BA team, championing best practices, and mentoring a team of 8-9 BAs (some remote). There's no formal line management to start, but you'll be at the heart of recruitment, development, and performance oversight.
What You'll Be Doing
Team & Practice Leadership
Guide and support a growing team of BAs across systems and business areas
Set the local BA strategy while aligning with global methodologies and standards
Act as the face of the BA function in Belfast, ensuring quality, consistency, and cohesion
Take ownership of practice development, recruitment, and team support

Identify areas for improvement and help shape a scalable, efficient BA Centre of Excellence
Ways of Working
Champion the use of Jira, Confluence, and structured documentation processes
Drive continuous improvement in a regulated, process-led environment
Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the business and tech teams
What We're Looking For
A seasoned BA leader from insurance, financial services, or other regulated, systems-heavy industries
Strong experience mentoring, coaching, and developing BA talent
Comfortable working in structured, standards-driven environments
A collaborative mindset, with the ability to influence across teams and geographies
Experience working in or setting up Centre of Excellence functions is a real plus
Guidewire exposure is advantageous but not required - training and certification will be supported

Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus
Holidays: 25 days + 10 stats
Pension: 9% total contribution (with salary sacrifice option)
Private Medical, Life Assurance & Income Protection

A range of wellbeing, learning and development perks
This is a unique chance to lead, influence, and build something long-term as part of a high-growth UK tech function.
