Youth Development Lead – Enterprise (London) – Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week). Location: London. Closing Date: 23:59 on 21/09/2025. Salary: £26,334.00 to £32,314.00 dependent on skills, knowledge and experience. Assessment Centre: 29 September, in-person at our South London Centre.

Join The King's Trust to empower 18–30-year-old entrepreneurs. The Enterprise programme supports young people starting businesses to explore and test ideas, write business plans, and launch their own businesses or achieve alternative outcomes in education, training, volunteering, or work. This role involves guiding a caseload of young people, helping them launch ideas and work toward business start targets. Travel to local areas for programme delivery may be required; delivery can be online, in-centre, or in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Enterprise programme to support young people starting businesses, helping them explore ideas, write business plans, and launch ventures or achieve alternative outcomes in education, training, volunteering, or work.
  • Advise and mentor a caseload of young people to progress toward business start targets.
  • Travel as needed to deliver programme activities in the local area; delivery methods may include online, in-centre, or community settings.
  • Develop robust and viable business plans, including cash flow forecasts and personal survival budgets; provide sector-specific insights.
  • Provide positive and constructive feedback to help businesses flourish and assist with funding applications as required.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, inspire change, and contribute to an inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Experience in business planning, financial forecasting (e.g., cash flow), and developing business concepts for young entrepreneurs.
  • Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and practical support to help participants achieve outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel and deliver programme activities across various settings (online, in-centre, community).
  • Commitment to inclusivity and equality in the workplace.
