Job Description

Our significant growth has led us to invest further in our Account Management team to increase revenue, strengthen partnerships, and expand our product portfolio. We are looking for an Account Manager to join us! You will receive extensive training and support to become an ambassador of The Fuel Store, identifying account growth opportunities for our fuel and non-fuel products to generate revenue and boost sales.

Permanent Opportunity: Full Time
Location: Birmingham, B2 (Hybrid)
Requirements
- Maximize the retention rate of your customer base, actively preventing loss of usage.
- Assist in identifying problem accounts with the aim of boosting revenue.
- Develop an understanding of customer drawing patterns and identify deviations from the norm.
- Build strong client relationships.
- Analyze business data and generate periodic and ad hoc client reports.
- Stay aware of industry trends and proactively respond to changes in the oil market.
To contribute to The Fuel Store’s success, you will need:
- At least three years’ experience in an Account Management/Retention role.
- Ability to contribute positively to the working environment, demonstrating the company's core values and behaviors.
- Negotiation skills (rate negotiation, influencing conversations).
- Strong communication skills—articulate and able to address customer concerns.
- Commercial awareness (Rate Management).
- A strong level of resilience.
- Adaptability, as our industry is constantly changing and strategies may shift quickly.
- Ability to work with high volume and manage your own diary effectively.
- Quick learner with the ability to understand complex information.
- Familiarity with CRM systems.
As well as the right experience, a Fueller will have:
