Job Overview

Advanced Social Work Practitioner – a fixed‑term, 6‑month role based in South and Mid Nottinghamshire. Full‑time, 37 hours per week, hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in office per week. Salary £44,075 – £49,282 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead practice work within the Urgent and Emergency Care Teams, supporting the Team Manager to implement change and embed new ways of working.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, managing a small, complex caseload of mixed priority work.
  • Act as safeguarding manager for the people you supervise, safeguarding vulnerable adults and acting as the safeguarding lead where appropriate.
  • Use strength‑based approaches to promote choice, control, personalisation and self‑directed support, enabling independence through reablement and enablement approaches.
  • Collaborate with other Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Community Care Officers and partners in a fast‑paced team.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

  • Registered Social Worker with a Social Work qualification, registered by Social Work England.
  • Experience of safeguarding adult work within multi‑agency procedures and experience of staff supervision, training and development.
  • Full driver’s licence and access to a car for work.
  • Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP), Best Interests Assessor (BIA) or Practice Educator (Level 2) knowledge and experience is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, using a strength‑based approach and promoting client‑centred practice.
