Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office 2 days per week for this position.

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our Save and Pay team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc.

You will play a key role in the design and build of exciting new digital application and servicing customer journeys for our Savings customers.This will involve working in a collaborative agile environment where you are at the heart of DevOps teams.

You will make a meaningful impact by contributing to initiatives that simplify how we operate, modernise our technology, and enhance the customer experience - while focussing on the bank’s growth.We have a flat structure and you will be a key member in an empowered team where you will support changes you have defined live in production and then continuously act on customer feedback to improve them.

Working closely with product, engineering, and operations teams, you will understand and develop a well-rounded view of how the bank delivers change.

You will reporting to a Lead Analyst who will provide ongoing support, coaching, and development to help you grow your skills and progress your career.

We offer opportunities to grow into a variety of roles with many of our analysts moving up to be lead analyst, product owner or solutions architect, supported by structured development pathways and mentoring.

As part of a cross-functional delivery team, the successful candidate will work within anAgile framework.We use the SAFE methodology, operating in DevOps scrum teams. The role offers hands‑on experience with a range of systems and technologies,

  • Collaboration Tools– Jira, Confluence, Figma and Microsoft 365.
  • Mobile applications.
  • Working with third party source system providers.
  • API Integrations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure Savings features are accurately implemented.
  • Responsible for discovery, defining scope, producing clear user stories and acceptance criteria, reviewing technical designs and process designs (as‑is / to‑be), and supporting delivery through supporting test case definition and implementation activities.
  • Act as a custodian of Savings related requirements, performing root cause analysis and coordinating resolutions with technical teams.
  • Ensure that delivered features align with internal policies, strategic objectives, and external regulations.

We need you to have

  • Must have proven experience as a Business/IT Analyst.
  • Proven ability to undertake detailed analysis and produce high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria in an agile environment for customer journey improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience delivering system changes within an Agile environment, working collaboratively across cross‑functional teams to shape and implement solutions.
  • Exposure to regulatory and compliance considerations in the banking domain.
