Overview

A local authority that I regularly work with is currently looking for an ASB Officer on a temporary contract.

Role details: Competitive rate dependent on experience. Initial 6 months with extension likely. Hybrid work with flexibility around office presence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of live cases pertaining to Anti-Social Behaviour, Nuisance and Environmental issues, covering early intervention, prevention through to prosecution or possession.
  • Effectively investigate, manage and resolve cases of Anti-Social and Nuisance Behaviour affecting residents and visitors. This includes handling complaints of verbal and written abuse, targeted behaviour, noise nuisance, bonfires and waste on land on behalf of all residents and Council tenants.
  • Provide a victim-centred approach, ensure timely action and effective use of our tools and powers (including prevention and enforcement) under the ASB, Crime and Policing Act, Housing Act and Environment Protection Act.

Requirements and day-to-day

The post holder will be required to effectively investigate, manage and resolve cases of Anti-Social and Nuisance Behaviour affecting residents and visitors. This includes but is not limited to managing complaints of verbal and written abuse, targeted behaviour, noise nuisance, bonfires and waste on land on behalf of all residents and Council tenants.
