Overview

A highly respected and modern Chartered Accountants is seeking a NEW Audit Assistant Manager to join their team in Kent. With a strong reputation for client service, they offer genuine career progression, flexible working, and a supportive environment.

This role involves managing a small portfolio of audit clients, supervising junior staff, and supporting senior colleagues across all audit requirements.

Monday-Friday, 37.5hrs per week, with a hybrid working structure (3 days office / 2 days home).

Salary is dependent on experience/qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.

Duties

  • Manage and develop a small portfolio of audit clients
  • Plan and prioritise audit work, ensuring adherence to budgets and firm standards
  • Prepare or delegate audit tasks, including complex areas and consolidations
  • Supervise and mentor seniors, semi-seniors and assistants
  • Monitor progress and maintain communication with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Lead audit review and close-down meetings
  • Ensure compliance with AML, KYC and engagement letter requirements
  • Support cross-selling opportunities across service lines
  • Contribute to training and development of junior staff
  • Assist with business development through networking, pitches and webinars
  • Prepare bills and ensure timely client invoicing
  • Keep APS workflow and audit file administration up to date

What we're looking for

A successful candidate for this role will be ACA or ACCA qualified, with strong UK Practice experience and exposure to the duties listed above. You’ll be confident managing audits, leading teams, and adding value to clients.

We can only accept applications within a 1hr commute at this stage.
